Dean has a B.S. in Milling Science and Engineering from Kansas State University and over 35 years of experience in food and bio-processing systems. He has extensive technical expertise in the early development of strategically complex projects, including strong project management and the ability to lead successful design teams for Front End Engineering and Design, as well as scale-up for commercial facilities including process engineering services, bio-industrial, food, wastewater, oilseed processing, anaerobic digestion, and process safety management. Dean formerly worked with our strategic partner, Stantec where he led engineering for large capital projects in the cereals, food, biofuels, and biochemical industries. He was Stantec’s vice president and leader for their bio-industrial and food & beverage markets and continues to champion complex and new-to-world process designs, PFD/P&IDs, 3D scanning, 3D & VR models, virtual design, industrial piping design, and conveying systems, water, and wastewater treatment design, energy studies, PHA (Process Hazard analysis), as well as PSM (Process Safety Management) Programs.
