Chibi Takaya, Ph.D.
Slow Pyrolysis for Waste Valorization, Hydrothermal Carbonization for Waste, Char Activation
Chibi holds a BEng in Chemical Engineering and an MSc and Ph.D. in Energy & Environment from The University of Leeds. She has been involved in the production, characterization, and modification of waste-derived biochars and hydrochars for soil/compost and wastewater nutrient management. Chibi has also explored the potential for ammonia gas abatement from sources using waste-derived biomass feedstocks. With an interest in African bio-economies, she is interested in delivering sustainable, cost-effective waste management strategies across various developing cities. Contact Chibi.
