Mr. Roskam has been involved in commercially moving the world toward a bioeconomy for more than 30 years. His expertise and interests are in commercializing early-stage products, processes and companies using his education, technical orientation, and business experience to connect capital with technology and people. Jeff interactively develops early-stage business plans, technology process financial models, timelines and exit strategies.
As a project manager for POET, Jeff was an engineering project manager for bioenergy plant construction projects. As Senior Vice-President and minority owner of ICM and President of United Bio Energy, he assisted numerous farm groups and plant owners in project development from conception through financing, and first years of operation with P&L responsibility. As CEO of Kansas Alliance for Biorefining and Bio Energy, he led the investigation and technical due diligence of second-generation bioenergy pathways and products such as biogas, syngas, SAF, pyrolysis, torrefaction, and other technologies. As President of PrairieFood, Jeff led operations to revitalize and regenerate agricultural soils using a biomass-based production processes that accelerated soil nutrient cycling, provided microbe digestible microcarbon, and reduced the carbon footprint and cost of grain.
