Pete has spent his 25-year career building new teams, developing partnerships, and growing businesses, including the past 13 years in the sustainable fuels industry.  He spent eight years in Business and Corporate Development at Renewable Energy Group (REG), North America’s largest producer of biomass-based diesel, where he handled a diverse portfolio of projects including feedstock diversification efforts, due diligence of fuel production assets, and distribution infrastructure assessment and acquisition. Previously, Pete worked for renewable algae oil pioneer Solazyme, Inc., where he led the government fuels team and directed projects with the Department of the Navy exceeding $40m in value.

Pete is co-founder and Head of Commercial Development for Hydrogen Works, a technology development company focused on developing next-generation solid oxide electrolyzers/fuel cells and their commercial applications. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, with a concentration in Finance. Pete is also a Colonel in the US Army Reserves, having held multiple leadership roles at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels throughout his career.  Contact Pete.
