Rafael is a mechanical engineer who has over 15 years of experience in energy systems engineering and development. He has worked as an engineering coordinator for green hydrogen projects, leading entire project cycles from front-end loading (FEL) or front-end engineering and design (FEED) to commissioning and start-up plants. In additional, Rafael has worked in decarbonizing projects such as biomethane and carbon capture, doing equipment diligence, risk analysis and life-cycle analysis (LCA).
He has experience in design of electrical rotating machinery including hydro generators, turbo generators, sync condensers, induction motors, and he has worked from engineering up to factory and site acceptance testing.
Rafael holds his Master’s degree in engineering from Santa Catarina State University and an MBA in business management from São Paulo University.
Currently, he is professor of mechanical engineering and MBA at Ânima Education Group, one of largest private educational organizations of higher education in Brazil. There he teaches electrical rotating machine, energy systems and mechanical vibration classes.
