Dr. Panteloglou holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology & Fermentation Technology (University of Nottingham, UK) and an executive MBA (Edhec Business School, FR). He has 15 years’ overall international experience in industrial biotechnology, ranging from R&D to pilot to commercial scale, with a successful track record leading diverse teams and managing complex projects. He started his professional career as a Fermentation Scientist in 2005 at Campden-BRi (UK), later joining Novozymes Biopharma (UK) as a Fermentation Engineer leading the development of an automated micro-bioreactor. Apostolos then moved to DuPont Industrial Biosciences (UK) as a Process Development Lead accountable for Butamax’s (a BP & DuPont JV) bio-butanol pilot plant fermentation experimental plan and for the development of its commercial propagation fermentation technology, mitigating technology risks related to scale-up and accelerated commercialization. Subsequently, he worked as a Team Leader in Bioprocessing at Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant (BE), managing international collaborations in CDMO and for Cargill’s Global Manufacturing Technology Organization. At Cargill, Apostolos led the launch of a new process in a toller and headed its EU ethanol fermentation technology, working on governance/best practices and leading innovation and continuous improvement projects. He also acted as a subject matter expert in early-phase projects with bio-R&D, assisted with tolling opportunities, and led a market research project in the bio-industrial sector. Thereafter, Apostolos joined Bon Vivant as Industrialization Director, developing its external manufacturing network in the alternative protein and precision fermentation space. More recently, he was a Business Development Manager CDMO at Arxada (CH), providing customized solutions in Food & Nutrition, Personal Care, Nutraceuticals, and Specialty Chemical sectors.
