Matias is a Civil Construction Engineer, specializing in the design and construction management of wastewater/ water plants, landfill methane gas, anaerobic digestion plants, gas to energy, biogas to RNG, hydroelectric, and dam/ marine construction, and has served as project manager for the construction of the largest anaerobic digestion plants in the northeastern United States. Matias has been working for 24 years on the use of surveying equipment and earthwork take-off software. He had been the beta-tester for earthwork programs, and he specializes in machine control applications and terrain modeling. His experience in this field comes as an advantage when looking to limit site disturbance and balance earthwork as well as comparing earthwork calculations during mediation/ litigation.
Matias graduated with a degree in Civil Construction from the Catholic University of Chile and has a project management certification from the University of Vermont (U.S.). He has been in the construction and development market for over 20 years with significant experience in developing and managing contractual documents, purchasing and negotiation, cost analysis, and forecasting future construction costs.
