Cecil has a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Wisconsin and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Minnesota.  Cecil has over 50 years of experience in process development from bench through scale-up, construction, and operation as owner’s engineer and project manager.  He holds six U.S. patents and one of his inventions won the Food Engineering “New Product of the Year” award.  He has assisted in developing several technologies through the FEED stages from laboratory to new plant construction and commercial operation, particularly in the areas of renewables and green chemicals.  In addition to process invention and commercialization, Cecil has had operational responsibility in manufacturing, quality control, and regulatory compliance in food and chemical operations.
