Ben has spent the majority of his career developing and commercializing clean energy systems with a focus on establishing strategic partnerships that achieve corporate goals. Ben has 15 years of experience working in the agricultural biotechnology space using renewable feedstocks for the production of biobased products, chemicals, and fuels. At Metabolix, he led all Government Affairs as it related to legislation and policy at the Federal and State level, including participating in trade associations and industry advocacy groups supporting similar lobbying efforts. At Yield10, Ben led the seed operations team to scale up production of the industrial oilseed crop Camelina and established offtake agreements for the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel, Renewable Diesel, and other value-added nutritional oilseed products. Ben also spent 10 years at Tecogen, where he oversaw the origination and installation of over 60 MW of microgrid-enabled generation systems in the US, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
Ben has also spent considerable time throughout his career raising funds from private and public markets, as well as funding from Government programs. He earned his MBA from Boston University in addition to an MS from Tufts University (Electro-Optics) and a BS from the University of Massachusetts Amherst (Physics). Contact Ben.
