Sailesh has a Ph.D.in Chemical Engineering and 25 years of experience in operations and product development in the field of gas, oil, chemicals, and related process industries. He worked for over 20 years at Honeywell-UOP, LLC as Lead Research Engineer, with extensive hands-on experience in refining & conversion processes including hydrotreating/hydrocracking, bio-feeds to fuels, and bioreactors to synthesize transportation fuels from plant-based feeds. He is well-versed in process and catalyst development, pilot plant design, operation and testing, scale-up, process equipment design, and process modeling. Additional areas of expertise include lube process/catalyst configuration, hydroisomerization and hydrofinishing, Resid (Bunker Fuel) Upgrading, and internal auditing for site health, safety & environmental compliance. While at Honeywell he gained certification as a Six-Sigma Black belt. He has also worked at American Refining Group as the Director of R&D for Process Optimization in such areas as Isomerization & Reforming, Separations & Distillation, hydrogen management for catalytic processes, solvent extraction, product formulations, and new product development.
