Anju brings a wealth of over 20 years of experience in the waste-to-value areas, specializing in biomass-to-value-added product development, nutrient recovery solutions, supply chain development, and strategic business development. In her executive roles at GSR Solutions LLC and NutriHarvest, she focuses on leveraging bio-based technologies to transform agricultural and food waste streams into valuable commodities such as soil fertility products, bio-fertilizers, bioenergy products like Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems, food/feed, and other valued-products.
During her tenure at GSR, Anju spearheaded one of three Farm to Fly F2F2 nationally recognized initiatives supported by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), in collaboration with supply chain partners. She also led numerous waste-to-energy projects, funded by the US Department of Energy, US Environmental Protection Agency, USDA, EPSCoR, National Science Foundation, NASA, and various state initiatives. These projects were mainly focused on producing algae biofuel, biofertilizers, and other by-products, integrating waste management for cost efficiency.
In addition to her business pursuits, Anju has made significant contributions to academia. For over a decade, she served as a Bioenergy Professor at a University, where she helmed the ‘Waste to Energy’ and ‘Bioenergy – Biomass to Biofuels’ programs. These initiatives bridged the gap between public and private sector professionals through experiential learning. She has authored and edited two editions of the seminal college textbook, ‘Bioenergy: Biomass to Biofuels.’ Anju served as an advisor for the Buckminster Fuller Challenge program and currently holds a position as a Board Member and Treasurer for a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women by creating economic opportunities for individuals facing employment barriers.
Holding a Ph.D. in Zoology and Environmental Pollution complemented with an MBA, Anju’s exploration of innovative methods for achieving long-term environmental and energy sustainability goals continues unabated.
