Jennifer has spent the past 15 years in sustainability strategy and management, with a focus on ag- and food-tech, gaining a unique industry perspective through roles at various startups. She has focused on integrating innovative TEA/LCA methodologies, sourcing next-gen feedstock, and developing ESG strategies. Her experience includes managing lifecycle assessments and carbon footprints and creating frameworks to evaluate sustainability in biomanufacturing processes. As Director of Sustainability at C16 Biosciences, Jennifer led environmental initiatives for a synbio palm oil alternative, demonstrating her expertise in integrating sustainability into biotechnology applications. Previously, Jennifer served as the inaugural sustainability lead at Miyoko’s Creamery, a plant-based CPG dairy industry pioneer. Also an educator, Jennifer is an adjunct faculty member at Presidio Graduate School, teaching graduate-level courses in sustainable food systems and social impact marketing.
A published author, Jennifer is a frequent subject matter expert. Her book, “Greening Your Small Business,” was recognized as one of the Top 10 Small Business Books of 2009, and her insights on sustainability and food systems have been featured in Scientific American, U.S. News & World Report, Food Network, and others.
Jennifer holds an MBA in Marketing from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a Master’s in Writing from the University of San Francisco, a unique combination that enhances her ability to communicate complex sustainability concepts effectively.
