With a BS in Biochemical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, an M.S in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University, and an MBA from Quantic Institute of Business and Technology, Rudy is an accomplished expert in fermentation and cell culture. He has consulted or worked for several innovative companies across the world, including Beyond Meat, DuPont, BASF, AstraZeneca, Atara Biotherapeutics, and NantKwest, helping them to develop, tech transfer, and scale-up processes to produce vaccines, enzymes, viral vectors, proteins, and cell therapies.
Rudy has undertaken additional projects in plant design, techno-economic analysis, competitive analysis, and strategic recommendations. He is experienced in working with bench, pilot, and commercial scale environments, both in non-regulated and FDA-regulated settings. Rudy is a polyglot who is comfortable working with people from different geographies and cultures, having been involved in projects in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, China, the United States, Australia, Italy, and Finland.
