A fuel quality expert is one who understands the detailed requirements of end-use customers that involve meeting ASTM standards and customized needs including stability, corrosion resistance and others.  The fuel quality expert is responsible for providing added-value technical support, introducing cost-effective technologies, and conducting advanced analytical characterizations co, maximize profitability, improve asset integrity, and protect the health and the environment. They can provide technical advice and guidance on aspects related to fuels, additives, and recommendations to mitigate any risks related to the international environmental regulations and specifications of transportation fuels including jet, automotive diesel, and gasoline fuels. In addition, you will be involved in technical problem solving related to fuel manufacturing and distribution systems.   They help plan fuel storage and logistical protocols that retain the quality of fuels after production and during the delivery process. They also monitor fuel formulation and blending processes.   They can often provide guidance in post-treatments that can help make off-spec materials profitable.
