Venkat has spent 6 years as a cross-sectoral climate expert. He has extensive experience in technical writing and policy analysis, having worked with non-profits as well as consultancies and corporate entities across the climate and energy spectrum. A former policy fellow at the U.S. Climate Alliance, Venkat has worked on forestry and agriculture projects, having also been a Policy Coordinator at the American Forest Foundation.

His technical writing credentials were developed at Gordian Knot Strategies, where he worked on carbon markets, sustainability reporting, and green financial instruments, unlocking new avenues of funding and climate responsibility for clients. Since 2023, Venkat has been a grant writer in the energy and transportation space, having worked at TRC Companies — one of the largest environmental consulting firms in the United States.

Venkat has won upwards of $20 million in grant funding and continues to do so for non-profits and businesses, building relationships and driving meaningful change within the climate and energy sectors. He earned a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Biotechnology from SRM Institute of Science and Technology and a Master of Science (MS) in Environmental Conservation from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
