John “J.C.” Olson is a seasoned leader with over 18 years of experience in driving innovation and strategic growth in the agribusiness sector including work in supply chains, specialty crops, animal feed, pet food, and human food ingredients. Most recently at Scoular, he led the development of markets and commercial opportunities for barley-based products, with a focus on expanding value-added services and managing supply chain risks. He also served as the Product Group Manager of the Emerge Program, where he developed and oversaw operations of a pioneering barley processing facility.
J.C. has a proven track record of transforming underperforming assets, creating new revenue streams, and leading multi-million dollar investments. His initiatives have significantly impacted the numerous companies in the Western United States, and his leadership has enhanced profitability and operational efficiency across various projects.
J.C. holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science, an MBA in Food and Agribusiness, and a Master’s in Applied Economics, complementing his extensive hands-on experience in the industry.
