USDA Advanced Biofuel Payment Program Request for Applications
USDA Advanced Biofuel Payment Program provides producers payments to help offset costs associated with the production of advanced biofuels. Examples of advanced biofuels include biodiesel, ethanol (other than corn kernel), electricity and biogas produced from anaerobic digesters, and solid fuels.
Eligible Producers will be paid on a quarterly basis for the actual quantity of eligible advanced biofuel produced during the quarter.
To be eligible for the incremental payment, an advanced biofuel facility must have:
- produced advanced biofuels in the year prior to the fiscal year in which the payment is sought, and
- had less than 20 days (excluding weekends) of non-production in the year prior to the fiscal year in which the payment is sought.
Any entity that produces and sells advanced biofuel is eligible to apply.
AVAILABLE FUNDING AND APPLICATION WINDOW:
APPLICATION DEADLINE: The enrollment period for producers to sign up to participate for the Fiscal Year 2022 is Oct. 1 to Oct. 31, 2021. Producers who participated in the program in Fiscal Year 2021 and new producers must enroll to receive payments.
FUNDING AMOUNT: $7 million
There is no minimum or maximum payment restriction.
