Renewable Chemicals: Chemicals produced using biomass, agricultural feedstocks, or CO2 that are sold or used in the production of polymers, plastics, bio materials, consumer products, industrial materials, or formulated products. Examples would include butanols, furfural, acetone, isopropanol, organic acids, esters, oleochemicals, and specialty and performance chemicals. Ethanol: Ethyl alcohol used in motor fuels as an additive for gasoline. Also technical and industrial grades of ethanol used as a building block chemical. See our Ethanol Team.
Biogas/AD: Biological processes in which microorganisms break down biodegradable material in the absence of oxygen. One of the end products is biogas, which is combusted to generate electricity and heat, or can be processed into renewable natural gas and transportation fuels. See our Biogas/AD Team.
Water Treatment: Water quality is critical in many biological processes and inappropriate treatment technology can lower process efficiency or halt construction and permitting. We have the experience to serve advanced ultrapure water, process water, and wastewater treatment needs; including effluent polishing.
