David has an MSc in Renewable Energy Systems Engineering from the University of Surrey in the UK and an honours degree in Chemical Engineering. He has been involved in the global energy sector for much of his 36 year career, helping clients improve operational and business performance, through a combination of innovation and technology, business processes and people. He started his career with Texaco and Mobil, before moving into management consulting, initially with PwC and Arthur D. Little, before forming his own consulting firm in 2002. His recent consulting work includes Equinor in an evaluation of global advanced bio-fuels and bio-oil conversion technologies for refinery co-processing, Petrom in the evaluation of refinery co-processing of bio-oils, the European Union JRC in an evaluation of biomass conversion technologies, the UK Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC) in an assessment of low carbon structured interventions, the Carbon Trust Leadership Team on developing strategy for the Portfolio Management Group, and Origin Oil in the development of governance models and processes for its global renewable energy joint ventures. David has worked in Europe, US, South America, Middle East, India, Australia, and Africa, and has lived in England, Scotland, Sweden, Belgium, Australia, Uganda and Tanzania. Contact David.
