Brad has a B.A. in biochemistry from Williams College, Williamstown, MA, and a Ph.D. in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Florida. Brad spent the first 12 years of his career in crop quality improvement at Monsanto Company in St. Louis, with a particular focus on genetic engineering of industrial enzymes and commercial row crops. He has spent the last 15 years as project manager for the development of commercial-scale, shovel-ready ethanol plant projects, as well as potential renewable chemical plant projects. Brad has extensive experience working with growers for the production of sugar based feedstocks (ie. sugar cane, sugar beets, and sweet sorghum), raising investment capital from growers, facility site selection, site-specific studies, site and air environmental permitting, process design selection, feedstock supply and finished product off-take agreements, EPC selection, financial modeling, business plans, and investor presentations.
